Beaches around the Residence L’ Uddastru

There are 18 kilometres of white beaches and imposing pinewoods that give Budoni value and importance, making it one of the most important tourist resorts in Sardinia, thanks to the organization and attention for tourists and enhancement of the coast.
The beaches are white expanses of very fine sand with shallow seabed and crystal clear water, especially token by families with small children; however, there are also coves in which the seabed is rocky, much loved by scuba diving and snorkeling enthusiasts.
Finally, some beaches are accessible and well equipped for the disabled.
Nuraghe Conca and ‘Bentu in the Borgo di Solità, and Nuraghe Entosu in the village of Porto Ottiolu

In the municipality of Budoni there are two nuraghi, considered among the most famous and famous monuments in the history of Sardinia.
The nuraghe, consisting of a circular tower, with the function of sighting and control, documents the early settlements of indigenous civilization on the island.
In the village of Solità, the Conca and Bentu nuraghe were built, composed of a single central and main room.
It is thought that there was also a staircase that led to a terrace, from which it is still possible to admire the plain of Budoni, and, all the coastal ray that goes from the village of Tanaunella to the imposing and statuary Tavolara.
Su Entosu, on the other hand, is the nuraghe that stands on a hill in the countryside of the village of Ottiolu; of simple, with one tower, made of granite material, it served as a sighting point for those who approached our coasts by sea.
From here you can admire several coves, up to the viewpoint on Molara and Tavolara.
Madonna degli Abissi – Village of Porto Ottiolu

For those who also seek the sacred to Budoni, they not only find it in churches or places of worship, but think a little…. in the depths of our crystalline sea.
Let’s talk about the Madonna degli Abissi; the statue of the Virgin Mary, made of Orosei marble by the sculptor Giuseppe Solinas, was sunk in the bottom of Cala dei Francesi, in the village of Porto Ottiolu, in 2001 at a depth of 10 meters.
Victim of numerous vandalism attacks, it was replaced in 2013 with a new statue at the behest of the sculptor himself and placed in its original location.
The position of the Madonna degli Abissi is marked by a white buoy, you can get there by land, via a path only practicable on foot or by bicycle, where after 5 minutes of travel, you arrive at the cove from which it is easy to see the only marker buoy, or by sea, approaching the coast with an inflatable boat.
“Stazzo” Museum – Budoni

In Budoni, in Piazza Einaudi, was founded in 2007 by Proloco and administration, the Museum of Stazzo, with the need to reconstruct the history of our past and our traditions, now partly forgotten, bearing witness to how they lived everyday life and how they were built houses that gave rise to agglomerations of individual dwellings, called stazzi.
The typical dwelling, built with stones and slush, was made up of a single room that changed according to the times it was used.
There was no floor, but beaten and planed earth, with a large central fireplace that was used for cooking dishes and heating.
The beds were agglomerated with straw covered with cotton sheets and the blankets were made of wool sheared with sheep’s fur.
The double pitched roofs had a sturdy central beam accompanied by barrels arranged orthogonal to it, and finally in the upper part covered with hand-made clay tiles.
The bathroom was initially not present in the house, then an outside room will be added to contain it.
The women had the task of caring for their children and preparing meals, storing meat, grinding wheat, sewing clothes, while the men watched the cattle, also doing transhumance at certain times of the year and, in the place where they cultivated the land.
The PRACTICE MUSEUM therefore consists of three rooms:
Photographic room “COME ERAVAMO” in which are illustrated moments of life of the inhabitants of the stazzo di Budoni,
Room 1: The tool magazine where the tools used are shown.
Room 2: the house.
The museum can only be visited by booking during the winter period, while in summer it can be visited every day.
